Bobby Fischer has finally emerged after quite some time and gave
a radio interview in Iceland. He speaks of being subjected
to radiation while being held captive in Japan, having issues
with the Union Back in Switzerland, and of the greatest players
from the past century. It did sound like Fischer was
starting to soften and finally give the players of today some
credit that they might be pretty good but he still considers
today's chess to be dead because of it's enormous opening theory
and pre-arranged moves. |
